    MILLS WAS FOUND DEAD IN HIS CAR VERY EARLY ON SUNDAY MORNING.HE HAD A BULLET WOUND IN HIS HEAD.THE CAR WAS PARKED CLOSE TO THE NIGHTCLUB HE OWNED - "THE FREDDIE MILLS NITE SPOT".HE WAS 46.POLICE HAVE RULED OUT FOUL PLAY: THEY SAY THE WOUND COULD HAVE BEEN SELF-INFLICTED.

    MILLS IS A FORMER HOLDER OF THE WORLD LIGHT-HEAVYWEIGHT BOXING TITLE, BUT HE RETIRED FROM THE RING IN 1950 TO BECOME A NIGHTCLUB OWNER.SINCE OPENING HIS CLUB HE HAS BECOME SOMETHING OF A SHOW-BUSINESS PERSONALITY IN BRITAIN AND HAS APPEARED ON CHILDREN'S TELEVISION AS A COMEDIAN.

    MILLS WAS MARRIED WITH TWO DAUGHTERS, AGED 13 AND 9.
