    This film shows a successful live ejection carried out by Squadron leader J.S. Firield, D.F.C., A.F.C., on 3rd September, 1955 whilst the aircraft was still taking off from the runway



    Title: The Mark 3 fully automatic seat used, was fitted with Duplex Drogue 80' per second ejection gun & patent time release mechanism fitted with over-ride to accelerate parachute deployment.



    Title: This is the first time in the world that such a feat has been possible & the advantages of making a successful escape from the runway are obvious.



    It should be noted that the parachutist has a 35' clear drop and that the parachute used was a standard Irvin 24' canopy
