Background: The controversial buses sold by Britain's Leyland Company to Cuba, have been placed in service, beginning normal commercial runs in Havana.

Our film shows a Leyland bus picking up workers in Havana along a bus routs that runs from the Vibora terminus to the Vedado district. The Cuban government says the people have received the new buses with considerable enthusiasm.

Apparently, the bus purchase has eased a transport crisis within Cuba. The sale of the buses by a British firm earlier this year aroused considerable criticism principally from United States sources.

The U.S. and the Organization of American States currently maintain an economic blockade of Cuba.
