    Bands put up by Corinthians to welcome the Royalties, reading "Welcome to Corith", "long live the King", etc.


    2.
    The Royalties arrive at Corinth welcomed by Justice Minister Papaconstantinou, the Mayor, Bishop Prokopius, and the crowds cheering. A SGV and a GV. Some closer shots.


    3.
    The Royal Family (King Paul, Queen Frederika, Prince Constantine and Princess Irene) distribute dowry booklets to poor young girls. The King hands over the booklet to the parents of the girls. This booklet will entitle the holder to cash some Lst. 250 when the girl will reach the wedding age. Various shots, some CUs and some SGV.

    FILM SHOWS THEM YESTERDAY (THURSDAY) VISITING THE TOWNS OF CORINTH, ARGOS AND NAUPLIA, THE ANCIENT GREEK CAPITAL. THEY RECEIVED A WARM WELCOME, DESPITE THE VISIT LAST WEEK OF MR. PAPANDREOU, LEADER OF THE ANTI-MONARCHIST GREEK OPPOSITION. DOWRY BOOKLETS WERE PRESENTED TO YOUNG GIRLS ENTITLING THEM TO A SMALL PAYMENT ON THEIR WEDDING DAY.

    KING PAUL AND QUEEN FREDERIKA WILL LATER EXTEND THEIR TOUR TO CENTRAL AND NORTHERN GREECE - AREAS ALSO TOURED RECENTLY BY MR. PAPANDREOU. LAST SEPTEMBER, HIS CENTRAL UNION PARTY SEVERED TIES WITH THE ROYAL FAMILY. THE PARTY CLAIMED THAT THE 1961 ELECTIONS WERE FRAUDULENT AND KING PAUL'S POLICY OF NON-INTERFERENCE WAS TANTAMOUNT TO "COMPLICITY."
    THE PELOPONNESE TOUR WAS ONE OF THE QUEEN'S FIRST OFFICIAL ENGAGEMENTS SINCE FLYING HOME ON TUESDAY FROM LONDON, WHERE SHE ATTENDED PRINCESS ALEXANDRA'S WEDDING. DURING HER LONDON STAY, SHE WAS CHASED BY DEMONSTRATORS DEMANDING THE RELEASE OF GREEK POLITICAL PRISONERS. THE BRITISH GOVERNMENT MADE AN OFFICIAL APOLOGY FOR THE INCIDENT.
