Background: The plight of Arab refugees was before the General Assembly of the United Nations today. Some 900,000 of them were disposed as a result of the troubles between the Arabs and the Israelis in 1948.
Today, under the Presidency of Mr Leslie Munro, Mr Labousse, Director of UNEWA, Miss Irene Dunne, United States, Commander Allan Noble, United Kingdom, and Mr Nesbitt, Canada, went in turn to the rostrum to call for the means and money to assist in the rehabilitation and alleviation of distress in the Arab world........
