Background: VISNEWS filmed the start from Etten, near Breda, Holland yesterday -- Sunday, 7th June -- of the 10th annual Coup de la Trophee du Balloon Liore international handicap balloon race.
The Race, organised by The Hague Balloon Club, attracted 12 competitors -- one each from Australia, South Africa, France, Switzerland and Saarland; two each from Belgium and Holland; and three from Germany, out one of the Belgians could not take off, because of last-minute damage to his balloon.
The other eleven competitors got well away and, blown by a north-westerly wind, all landed in Holland. As a number of factors have to be taken into consideration, the identity of the winner will not be known for some time, possibly for three or four weeks, but he or she will be one of the following three: Alfred Eckert (Germany); Mrs. Nini Boesman (Holland); H.Kubig (Saarland).
