    PREPARATIONS NOW BEGIN TO GET THE "SOVEREIGN" INTO PERFECT SHAPE FOR THE AMERICA'S CUP CONTEST. IN MAY, TRIALS WILL BE HELD BETWEEN THE "SOVEREIGN" AND ANOTHER CONTENDER FOR THE CHALLENGE, "KURREWA V" WHICH HAS BEEN TAKING SHAPE ON THE CLYDE.

    BOTH YACHTS WILL BE SHIPPED TO AMERICA AND RACED OVER THE ACTUAL COURSE BEFORE IT IS DECIDED WHICH OF THEM WILL REPRESENT BRITAIN IN THE FINAL CONTEST.
