Background: There was a nostalgic return to the halcyon days of 1920s motoring at the Brands Hatch motor racing circuit, north of London, on Sunday (24 March) when nine Morgan three-wheelers took the track.

Powered by tiny one litre motors the three-wheelers, driven by vintage enthusiasts rather than professional racing drivers, reached an average speed of close to sixty miles an hour (100 kms) over the ten (16 kms) mile event.

The small Morgans were produced between 1910 and 1930 by Harry Morgan, a former railway worker from Swindon, Wiltshire. It fulfilled his dream of producing a small popular car which "the ordinary man could afford to run".
