But the visit of the heir apparent to the Spanish throne is concerned mainly with military matters. The Prince, who is a commissioned officer of the Spanish armed services, today visited the military research centre at Satory, outside Paris, and inspected the air defence installations at Taverny.
The military importance of the Prince Juan Carlos's visit to France was underlined by the presence at the Elysee of Admiral Storelli. Chief of Staff of the French navy; General Fourguet, chief of the French Army general staff; and Admiral Cabanier, Grand Chancellor of the Legion of Honour. The Prince returns to Madrid on Wednesday.
