Background: Tank units and armoured infantry of the Israeli Reserve Forces took part in a "live" exercise on the Sinai Desert on Friday (November 27). The exercise was watched by Israeli Commander-in-Chief Lt. General Haim Bar-Lev.
Live ammunition was used for most part of the Desert exercise which was carried out with the air support of the israeli Air Force. As well as General Bar-Lev, a number of other high ranking Israeli military personnel were present.
Recently Egyptian Prime Minister Mahmoud Fawzi warned Israel that there was no chance of peace between their countries so long as Israel insisted on occupying Egyptian soil.
Sherman tanks and half-track vehicles were used in the realistic Sin Desert military exercise.
