TRANSCRIPT: SEQ. 2: INTERVIEWER: "Egypt says it wants peace, but Mr. Ambassador how do you reconcile with the fact that you are threatening to renew the war if Israel does not agree in the next few weeks to a situation that it has refused to concede in the last two and a half years?"
MR. ZAYAT: " We are not willing to resume the war. I said we are pledging to keep not doing anything for the duration which has been asked of us by the United Nations."
INTERVIEWER: "But if there's an end to the ceasefire doesn't that mean a possibility of war".
MR. ZAYAT: "It means than that the other part has tried to do something to get war if you call it this way."
INTERVIEWER: "Is Egypt asking for Israel to withdraw as a condition for continuing the ceasefire after February 5th?".
MR. ZAYAT: "No, I have said that our acceptance of all the resolution of November 6/7 is unconditional and we have said before and I repeat again this is what we call a package deal and therefore we did not put withdrawal as a precondition".
