Background: Hussein Zulficar Sabry, Deputy Foreign Minister of the United Arab Republic, flew to Brasilia, Brazil's new capital, recently. Piloting the aircraft himself, he was on his way with a six-man trade and economic delegation to meet President Kubitschek and Foreign Minister Lafer during a 9-day visit to Brazil, part of a tour of 15 Latin American countries with whom the U.A.R. enjoys diplomatic relations.
After a formal reception, President and U.A.R. visitor conferred national decorations upon each other. Afterwards Mr. Sabry laid the foundation stone on the new U.A.R. Embassy to be built in Brasilia, after reading the document to be placed in the foundations. Later, there was another reception - this time at Brazil's Foreign Office.
