SYNOPSIS: The Greek-Cypriot delegation were led by Mr. Toannis Christophides, the minister of Foreign Affairs, and his deputy, Finance Minister Andreas Patsalides.
Their meeting with the Community's Foreign Ministers' Council, chaired by Monsieur Henri Simonet, was the second within the last three months. They had previously met on 15 September, and signed a financial protocol, which would guarantee Cyprus financial aid of 30 million European units of account. The aim of this meeting however, was to renew Cyprus's association agreement with the community. It was first signed in 1972 and is due to expire at the end of this year.
