    Beaverbrook addresses crowd SOT
    - And this is the day to proclaim our faith. (Cheers.) Join with me then in proclaiming it. Let us recklessly resound and open the world. Faith in Russia, faith in Russia's battle and faith in Russia's victory. (Applause.) For 12 long months we have watched that battle, and now we can assert that the Russians have executed a most masterly retreat, and that they have followed it by the most vigorous offensive known to history.

We will show that British justice, British courage, British sacrifice have given us the rights to stand before all nations. In guidance, and direction, a guarantee of peace and happiness to come.
