Background: Saigon May 23.- After the incident killing a engineering corp's soldier who was shot by american car's passenger during his works of construction the altar for the Buddha born day and wounding another civilian in front of the National Shrine, riot happened again began by the angry young buddhists who set fire to the passed by american cars - paratroops and marines were sent to the corner and used tear gas grenades to assault the young fanatics until the gate of the National Shrine. By the agreement between the military governor of Saigon and the Buddhist leaders, the National Shrine is temporarily closed.

Saigon May 24.- All the struggle force posted in the three pagodas on Danang, without the support of the american authority, has surrendered since yesterday. All the 3 pagodas were occupied by government marines and paratroopers. Nearly 2,000 weapons were captured and mostly of the rebel troops released. Danang became quiet.

Saigon May 24.- By the request of venerable Thich Minh Tuan and Thich Minh Dan Newsmen came to Tinh Hoi pagoda for a press conference. During that conference the 2 buddhists venerable requested for the intervention of american military authority in Danang to stop the fighting etc..but fighting has happened again and newsmen must run out of the pagoda. 3 foreign newsmen has been wounded by grenades.
