Background: Huddersfield Town-the-table first division club, beat the top-of-the-table challengers, Arsenal, by two goals to one at Huddersfield today. It establishes Huddersfield as a team to be reckoned with by the league leaders. The result also costs Arsenal two precious points and widens the gap between them and the top of the table.
Huddersfield took the lead after about half an hour when Chapmen (Huddersfield II) shot the ball past Wilson (Arsenal's goalkeeper).
Arsenal's equaliser came when Graham (Arsenal II) set up his free kick for Kennedy (Arsenal 10) to head it past Lawson (Huddersfield's goalkeeper).
Huddersfield's winning goal was from a penalty kick taken by Worthington (Huddersfield's 9) awarded after McLintock of Arsenal had handled the ball.
Arsenal protested but both referee and linesman agreed that McLintock had handled.
