Men chop at the base of trees and topple them over. Logs are propelled downstream by fast moving water. Boat is pushed through a river full of logs. A man steps off a boat and runs across floating logs. Intertitle: "At length the logs reach the factory". Timber factory. Cable car system for moving logs. Logs are dropped on to a large pile. Logs are thrown into a trough of water - they are propelled along. Intertitle: "The logs are washed and the bark removed". Top shot of conveyor belt carrying the logs. Inside the timber factory, logs are moved around. The logs are picked out of the water by a man with a hook and propelled down a chute. Intertitle: "The logs are ground to pulp".
