Children are examined by a doctor in front of a church. A child in bed with malaria. Funeral. Pools of water, swamps and marshes. C/U of larvae underwater. Mosquito hatches from a pupa. Candles are lit. C/U of mosquito on skin.
Cagliari - capital of Sardinia, an organisation set up - ERLAAS - an international force to stamp out malaria. Equipment and supplies (including DDT) unloaded. Posters being pasted on to walls. - crowds reading. Fumigators spray DDT in every building. Numbers stencilled on buildings.
