    Burma Road.

    General views of the winding Burma Road going over mountainous country. Lorries laden with parts of aeroplanes and armaments are seen crawling along the dusty Burma Road. People help turn a lorry right side up after it has turned onto its side. Trucks carry goods one way to China and the other to Burma. One truck carries mules bound for the Burma war zone. Troops from China and Britain are seen in transport.

    Trucks roll through village of Wanting and past an ancient Buddhist temple. Chinese men and women workers repairing sections of damaged Burma Road. Work being carried out on the new railway line to China. Engineers dynamite the rocky terrain to make way for the line.

    M/Ss of supplies being carried by donkey to feed the workers. M/S of the river bank being sprayed with dust to prevent infection of Malaria. Various shots of American Medical Mission carrying out experiments against Malaria with tablets which are issued to the workers. More shots of traffic along Burma Road.
