Miss Forbes, the teacher seen in the film is actually Katherine Jane Trefusis Forbes who became Air Chief Commandant and the first director of the Women's Auxiliary Air Force from 1939-43. She married Robert Alexander Watson-Watt known for inventing radar and they became Dame and Sir. She set up Bell Meade Kennels after the First World War.

We are the owners of the house shown in the first few seconds of this film. We believe that it was owned by Charlotte Forbes (Katherine "Jane" Trefusis Forbes' mother) from 1923 to 1946 and may indeed have been built for Jane to use.

We are actively researching the history and would welcome any information which anyone might have.
