    Full title reads: "London. Armistice Day 1926. The years slip by but memory remains".

    Intertitle reads: "Then that 'delirious' first Armistice Day".

    High angled L/S of crowds and troops gathered around the Cenotaph. A procession coming out of large building behind the Cenotaph (one of the ministry buildings in Whitehall). The procession consists of choristers led by a vicar / bishop holding large crucifix. They walk around the World War One memorial. L/S of a civilian man leading procession of officers, some carrying wreaths, out of same building.

    L/S of officers reaching the front of the cenotaph - we see that the officers in front are King George V, Prince Edward (Prince of Wales), Prince Albert (Duke of York) and Prince Henry (Duke of Gloucester). We see the King and Prince Edward lay wreaths. In the background members of the cabinet (including Winston Churchill and Austen Chamberlain) watch.

    Intertitle reads: "King and Commoner ... Prince and People ... united in homage to our million Dead".

    M/S of the King and the Princes removing their hats. High angled L/S of Cenotaph. Various L/Ss of crowds gathered in London street - traffic has stopped, everyone is very still for the minute's silence. M/S of King and Princes putting hats back on. M/S of an elderly couple laying wreath on memorial in village church graveyard. L/S crowd of bereaved relations and war veterans filing past cenotaph to lay wreaths. M/S of a man in uniform being passed flowers by children to place on memorial. C/U of wreath. M/S of charabancs driving slowly past crowds and memorial. They carry groups of ex-servicemen (disabled?). More shots of silent crowds and still traffic in London streets; including Trafalgar Square.
