The League of Nations hears the case of Italy's aggression against Abyssinia and Anthony Eden states action must be taken to keep the peace.

M/S as Baron Aloisi of Italy speaks at the conference of the League of Nations asking for time to prepare answers to charge that Italy is the aggressor. M/S of Abyssinia's (Ethiopia) representative M. Hawariat saying he cannot accept anything that will compromise Abyssinia's freedom. He finishes and people applaud. M/S of Monsieur Laval of France saying they will stand by the law as not to do so would weaken whole cause of peace.
M/S of Anthony Eden speaking, he says the League has two main tasks, one is to avert war by just and peaceful settlement of disputes, and two to stop wars already started. He says the League will have to determine what action must be taken to stop the war in Abyssinia.
