Sexy "oriental" dancing by June and Robert Quinault.
"Introducing "June" and Robert Quinault" C/U of June looking fantastic in an incredibly ornate head-dress. She smiles. Dissolve into C/U of Robert Quinault wearing an equally ornate breastplate. He wears a turban and earrings. He wears dark make up to give him that "Eastern" look. He smiles in a sneering way then pouts.
"And their famous Oriental Dance from "Fun of the Fayre". L/S of June stepping through a large frame on a stage set (possibly in the Pathe Studio). Quinalt kneels on the ground beside the frame. He takes off her head-dress and throws it to the ground. He then takes her hands and they begin their dance. It is a sexy passionate dance with much bending over backwards, flailing arms, embraces, lifts, throws etc. Very cute.
Was probably an item in Eve's Film Review issue number 112.
Note: the Fun of the Fayre was a revue show staged by C.B. Cochran at the London Pavilion.
Unsure of spelling of Robert Quinault / Quinalt?
