Short segment showing a group of fishermen making what appears to be a very large net.
Main title reads: E. W. Hammons presents - Walter Futter's Curiosities "The Movie Side-show" - "Back Home" - id number 1941 - Educational Pictures - The Spice of the Programme - Copyright MCMXXVII Educational Film Exchanges, Inc." Credit: "Edited and Titled by Beth Brown."
"Some folks visit New York and Chicago and such to see the sights --" "But there's bigger doings back home, by heck!" M/S of what looks like some kind of showground. Men are making a very large fishing net. "Back home in Fishport, the sewing circle's busy crocheting miles and miles of nets - - " M/S showing a man in hat and sou'wester working on the net. C/U of the net being made. Very short segment.
Note: At the very top of main title there are the words: "J.W. Hawwing (?) presents" As there is only a single frame of this title and the top is obscured, the name is impossible to read but could be Hammond or Hawwing. If anyone knows, please let us know. 1941 is presumably an identification number, not a date.
