The aircraft is a Fairey long-range monoplane, with a Napier Lion engine, Serial No. K1991.
"Lost distance record" should read Long distance record.
"Squadron Leader G R Gayford" should read O R Gayford, (his first name being Oswald).
"S E Nicholettes" in the body text should read Nicholetts.
