GV. All the cars lined up in pits and some of them start to move off. They are all moving into starting position for the Le Mans international 24 hour sports car race. Camera pans along track with them to back view. GV. Towards, mass of cars coming down road, pan to back view. GV. Cars coming in and out of bend. GV. Cars race down the straight in front of the stand and we see cars No 1 and No 9 go by. GV. Car No 3 coming into a bend, pan to back view as he starts to overtake a car on the outside. GV. Cars coming into the bend and round. Numbers 59, 52 and 12 are seen. SV. Car No 33 coming into a bend followed by No 32. SV. Pan Tony Brooks' car No 20 upside down, pan to a Porsche No 32, still on the road - it looks like it. SV. Towards, car No 7 racing, it goes by followed by another, pan into back view. GV. As night is beginning to come, car No 55 goes round the bend and away following another. GV. Car No 3 comes round the bend with lights on. GV. Cars racing towards and past with lights on. GV. The stands at night time. Cars go racing down the straight. GV. Cars towards and past with headlights blazing. SV. Spectators asleep in the stands but one is sitting up watching. SV. Two spectators stretched out asleep. GV. Cars race past pits with lights on and it is beginning to get light. GV. Little church service going on, & SV. GV. Car No 3 comes over line closely followed by No 15. Pan to back view as they go down straight. SV. Towards, car No 3 coming in with Flockhart at the wheel and Bued sitting on the side - they are the winners. SV. Flockhart and Bued with car. GV. Crowded stands and crowds round the car. SV. Flockhart and Bued surrounded by people and Bued takes drink as Flockhart sits smiling. Ten out of the first twelve places go to Britons.
