Young men learn academic and military skills in the Youth Training Brigade. South Africa.
M/S of a truck full of boys on their way to the Youth Training Brigade. The 16 - 19 year olds, who are mostly sons of men on active service, jump off and collect their helmets and uniform. They emerge from the hut for practise with guns, mortar and hand grenades. M/S as they take part in bayonet practise. M/S of one boy who is camouflaged.
