    Various shots guards of the Royal Welsh Regiment marching in grounds of Cardiff Castle with the old colours. Sound track is Prince Charles giving speech in Welsh. The guards come to a halt. Top shot as Prince Charles arrives wearing uniform of Colonel-in-Chief. Zoom in to him. Low angle shot ditto. L/S the Welsh Regiment lined up for inspection. Prince Charles walks between ranks, he stops to talk to soldiers. M/S as Charles turns and salutes an officer and walks past camera.

    L/S new colours being consecrated by the Chaplain General, the Venerable Archdeacon J.R. Youens, OBE, MC, QHC. M/S ditto. C/U two elderly Welsh Regiment veterans, VCs Bill Fuller and Stokey Lewis. C/U Bill Fuller. C/U Stokey Lewis, pan down to his row of medals. M/S Charles passing over new colours. L/S as he salutes the colours. L/S as he turns and walks back to the dais. L/S troops saluting.

    C/U the battalion's mascot goat being marched past ahead of parade, pan up to soldier leading him (mascot is wearing new colours). Various shots parade of soldiers marching past.
