    Still of Housing Minister, the image distorts and melts until it is unrecognisable. Various shots of melting photographs, presumably of prominent politicians. One photograph melts in reverse, revealing itself as a photographic portrait of Stanley Baldwin.

    Intertitle: "And the General Election was announced by Royal Proclamation for Oct. 29th".

    M/S of a crowd gathered on the steps of a large building with columns, a man in a white judge's wig reads from a scroll. M/S of the man reading from the scroll, he is surrounded by elderly men in long cloaks and tricorne hats. C/U of the man reading, we see the scroll has the words - A PROCLAMATION - written on it. Panning shot of the crowd listening to the proclamation. M/S, looking over the heads of the crowd, of the man in the wig walking down the steps of the building, many men tip their hats respectfully towards him.

    Intertitle: "... on his way to the House where he announced Royal assent to the dissolution".

    M/S of Ramsay MacDonald leaving no. 10 Downing Street with two men, a crowd of photographers, journalists and onlookers watch.

    Intertitle: "The Premier leaves Buckingham Palace after interview with the King in his much discussed motor car - "

    M/S of Ramsay MacDonald and his aides climb into a car outside of the gates to Buckingham Palace, a crowd jostles around to get a glimpse. C/U of Ramsay MacDonald. C/U of a man with a beard and a monocle - probably a Labour M.P. C/U of two women M.P.s - could be Susan Lawrence, Margaret Bondfield or Dorethea Jewson.
