• Short Summary

Three chimps in clothes play in the garden and home.

  • Description

    Hints, Staffordshire.

Three chimpanzees are kept as pets by Mrs Molly Badham and her friend Natalie Evans. The chimps are called Michelle, Heathcliffe and Lucy. They all wear clothes and are seen playing in the garden and house.

Heathcliffe drinks from a bottle and pulls faces. He is sitting in a pram. Lucy joins him and also has a drink. They eat and play - Lucy pushes Heathcliffe along then lifts him out of the pram. They run along hand in hand then play on slide in the garden.

Michelle is a bit older and she waters some flowers with a watering can. The kids are "still at it" playing on a roundabout in the garden. Michelle does some ironing. Lucy climbs a tree, swinging around. Michelle does some hoovering in the lounge. Lucy rides a little bicycle with Heathcliffe accompanying her. Michelle (wearing pyjamas) climbs into bed.

    Nice quirky music throughout.

Note: there are cameraman's notes on file which give some idea of the kind of day the cameraman had filming this. He writes: "Molly Badham would like the commentary read over to her, as they don't want people to think they are CRANKS!! OH BROTHER. They don't mind it being a humorous commentary but not cranky - it's all yours Roy, I've done my share! PTO" on the other side of the page it reads: "I'm still scratching."
