Mohammed Akhtar from Pakistan wins gold at Wrestling, with Jameson of Australia winning silver. On the final day Herb Elliot wins the One mile race with Merv Lincoln 2nd and Albie Thomas 3rd, all from Australia. Also running was Gordon Pirie. The time was under 4 minutes. In the pole vault we see Kruger of South Africa, Allah Ditta of Pakistan, and the winner Geoff Elliot of England. Men high dive into the Cardiff pool, they are not named. CU bell is struck to start the Welter Weight boxing match which is won by Tom Kawere of Uganda over Bob Scott of Scotland. The mens relay race is won by England followed by an English win in the women's relay with a new world record. The duke presents the women their medals, and they then have their photograph taken.
CU drum roll by an elderly man wearing a period costume. The competitors are received at a reception at the Guild Hall in London and shake hands with the Mayor and his wife. The athletes chat with drinks in their hands. They then go sight seeing to Big Ben, the Tower of London, Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square. Then its onto the bus to return home. Shots of the empty stadium, deserted boxing ring, the still swimming pool and placid Welsh lake. Flash backs to the winners on their podiums, the lowering of the Commonwealth flags, and the athletes leaving the games
