Cuts (rushes, out takes) for story featured in Colour Pictorial - CP 666. The original story is also on Pathe Master tape *PM0423*.
Cuts for story MOROCCO (aka MOROCCAN FANTASIA) in CP 666. NB: it appears some, if not all of these cuts do not relate to the Morocco story; I recognise some shots as being Kenya; could be from a Kenyan / African story not yet catalogued; most of the locals in these cuts look black African rather than Moroccan. Several shots not in cut story show a hotel with swimming pool and a gardener watering flowers; L/S of the coastline with a ship in dock; a man examines carpets at a stall. Various shots of boats moored to a jetty and workers on them. Several shots of a deserted fort with cannons and rusty cannonballs seen; an elderly European man wanders around looking at the area and is seen digging - an archaeologist?
M/S of a town road with an elephant tusk archway over it - I recognise this as being in Kenya; it was erected to welcome Princess Margaret in 1956. L/S of a white and peach-coloured mosque. M/S of a tollgate of the Nyali Bridge; trucks are seen crossing a bridge over water. Pigeons flutter about and feed on the ground; a flock of the birds land in a courtyard (of a mosque?); a man feeds them seed. A western couple fish (angling) from a moving boat; several shots of the coastline and a sandy bay with boats moored. Several shots of westerners / tourists on a beach, playing football, having drinks, sun-bathing.
Cuts probably relating to story WILDFOWL TRUST in CP 665 (see Pathe Master tape *PM0407* for original story). Various shots of flamingos standing beside a lake; a small flock walk through the lake. A western woman (obviously shot in this country) puts a fluffy, black and white chick into a box in a room; several shots of geese in a field.
