  • Short Summary

American pilots attempting to fly around the world stop in Hull for vital repairs.

  • Description

    Brough, Nr. Hull, Yorkshire.

Title: "... do it Yourself! is evidently the American World Fliers motto for they are making all alterations and overhauling the engines themselves".

Panning shot of the interior of an air craft hangar, American pilots are making repairs on several biplanes. M/S of four pilots doing repair work on a biplane engine.

Exterior. M/S of a biplane; the front propeller starts to whirr and smoke gushes from the engine (the protective bonnet panel has been removed). M/S of a pilot kneeling on top of the engine making adjustments with the propeller still moving.

Intertitle: "Floats have replaced landing wheels and they will soon be off for the last long 'hop'."

M/S of a group of pilots removing a wheel from the underside of one of the aeroplanes. L/S of the wheels being removed from under the plane. L/S of massive ski-like floats being attached to the wheel-less plane (presumably for landings at sea).
