The Duke of Kent opens a new building at King's School Canterbury.
Titles read: "DUKE OF KENT AT KING'S SCHOOL, CANTERBURY".
At King's School in Canterbury we see crowds of public schoolboy pupils watching the Duke of Kent (Prince George) signing his name with a diamond pen on a pane of glass. He is there to commemorate the completion of the rebuilding of the school. The Duke makes a speech, saying that he asked if the boys could have an extra holiday and that they will have an extra week of summer holidays. He declares the new building open and the boys give him three cheers. The Archbishop of Canterbury and headmaster Canon Shirley walk off with the Duke to show him around the school.
