Reunion concert to mark the occasion of the 4th anniversary of the battle of El Alamein in the Royal Albert Hall, London.
Sound footage of Winston Churchill at podium, the men giving him three cheers and rushing forwards with programmes for him to sign - he looks a bit overwhelmed, but pleased. Not much of his actual speech here.
Sound shots of Field Marshal Montgomery making a speech, saying he would like to come down and shake hands with every man here tonight. He pays tribute to the men gathered there who fought with him in the 8th Army. He starts to introduce Churchill.
More footage of Churchill talking about Monty, humorously comparing him to Stonewall Jackson. Cut to end of Churchill's speech; Monty directs him to front of the stage to receive the loud applause. Churchill smiles broadly and makes V-for-victory sign as the crowds cheer.
Several mixed up cuts of speeches made by Churchill and Monty, paying tribute to each other.
Brief mute shots of veterans shaking hands and smiling.
