Scenes from an amusement park - great shots of the roller coaster ride at double speed. Scary!
Fairground at Southend?, Essex.
Long panning shot of water chute in slow motion. Water splashes everywhere and people in the boat are leaning forward and ducking their heads in an attempt to protect themselves from the splashing water.
M/S of aeroplanes circling over people's heads. Cut to a medium, slow motion shot of a caterpillar, carrying mainly couples in its baskets. Slow motion reveals the reactions read from people's faces. C/U shot of the tubs with people in them enjoying the ride.
Point of view shot of the roller coaster (scenic railway) appearing from the darkness of a tunnel. Cut to a speeded point of view shot of the train storming down the curve - frighteningly fragile construction.
Speeded L/S of the train on the top of the construction. The train dashes down the hill. Cut to a point of view shot from the roller coaster as it flies up and down the rail construction, hits the curve, passes through the tunnel - the curve again, train storming downwards, the tunnel - this is the end of the ride.
Note: Location of the amusement park unknown - probably Southend-on-Sea. Not enough data in file.
