He is holding his pet dog and makes a short speech to camera, saying he is looking forward to a rest after 30 years service before starting some different work. He wishes his successor, Commander Firebrace, good luck. Commander Firebrace, standing beside Morris, says he and his brigade will be keeping the home fires from burning.
