    Full title missing, according to issue sheet it reads: "'First class soldier of St. Cyr and member of first platoon of France's first Battalion' signal honour conferred on the Prince of Wales during visit to France's Sandhurst".


    M/S of Prince Edward, the Prince of Wales and Edouard Herriot (French cabinet minister) walking past crowds, most shelter under umbrellas. The Prince shakes hands with a few of the people before taking a seat on a covered platform next to Herriot. Other dignitaries sit behind them on the platform. They stand while a man (just off camera) gives a speech. The Prince is presented with a certificate. More men step forward to speak. Panning shot of crowd listening to Prince speak. M/S Prince giving speech. A man steps forward with a large open book for the Prince to sign. Various shots of Prince ceremonially laying a foundation stone. There seems to be a bit of confusion - officials bustle about explaining to Prince what he must do with trowel of cement. M/S of Prince talking to group of dignitaries. Shots of crowds and cars dashing about to avoid rain.

    After some spacing, story resumes at 01:57:14. M/S of group of people, including officers of French army standing around a large monument. M/S of Prince (in army uniform) and a French officer passing some woodland. Various shots of Prince and officers standing on a raised platform. High angled L/S of crowd gathered around the entrance of a hotel. There are lots of press photographers and newsreel cameramen waiting amongst crowd. M/S of cheering crowd. M/S of crowd walking away from hotel entrance. Various shots of Prince and officers. The officers open wooden door on side of monument / memorial to show the Prince something.
