Documentation elaborates on the manoeuvres - excerpt, 40,000 men from troops stationed in Algiers, Oran and Constantine as well as Tunisian divisions took part in the manoeuvres along a 70 km front....The desert troops riding in trunks and jeeps have not abandoned their dress dating back to the time they were riding on camels. They covered the front from the Oasis of Touzeur in the south of Tunisia to Negrine in the south of Algeria. Troops were under command of General Cailles Chief of 10th military region. General Mille Chief of Tunisian Troops, General Kientz, Laurent were Chiefs of the other participating troops while General Bonnafe was in command of the airforce.
