    Shot of Princess Patricia of Connaught and other ladies; CUs; Princess is given flowers. Then they sit in rows of seats in the garden of St James Palace and wait for the entertainment.

    The entertainers come slowly walking / dancing across the lawn in a procession of flowing fabrics and modern dance. Closer shot of girls in sheets tied round themselves and with arm movements that are supposed to be like harem girls; dance of the 7 veils. Tall men with big swords. More women in veils; carrying baskets on their heads or waving long fans. CU a few of the entertainers pose - a sheikh kisses one of the girls.

    American cataloguer notes: "This is like the Arabian Nights come to life. Believe this actually predates the movie 'The Sheikh' and the whole craze over that in the 20s. Entertainment. Bizarre!"
