Gay Nineties Ball. Location of events unknown but possibly a club in London.
Note: With sound. People in old fashioned fancy dress in ballroom; at back; w/ space in front.
MS of large man with moustache introducing a singer; who comes out and sings 'Who broke the bank at Monte Carlo', he dances; w/ top hat an cane. After a verse, Couples dance around the room; some of them also singing. Pan over crowd - all sorts of fantastic 1890's style costumes Orchestra starts to play a song. Pan rt. to people joining hands in a big circle; and skipping round DS people dancing; crowded floor.
Various shots of the audience singing and dancing. The band starts Daisy Master of Ceremonies introduces another act - a line of women in 1890's costumes - w/ big hats perched on their heads - comes out; joined by men in matching suits - they sing and dance, the partygoers are now seated at tables. Potted palms round the sides comedienne / performer dressed in short fluffy skirt; tells jokes; then sings song in high-pitched voice. At end, it sounds like a lot of the people sing the chorus again with her. Fun. Music hall, musical theatre, parties, social events
