    The location for the dockside parts of this clip is Boulogne. (Other parts may well be Paris).

    The clip show's Pershing's arrival in France on 13 June 1917.

    The man on right of picture at 00:08 is Pershing's Chief of Staff Major James G Harbord.

    "along with one man in suit" - that man is Rene Besnard.

    At 00:36, the man in centre picture with the impressive moustache is General Pelletier.

    "John J Perishing" in tags should read John J Pershing.
