    Start of the 100 yards Final. Antao of Kenya wins followed by T Robinson of the Bahamas and Holdsworth of Australia. The three men stand looking at their medals. In the 3,000 metres steeplechase we see Vincent of Australia running with Maurice Herriott of England. As judges look on the pair take the water jump. Trevor Vincent is first across the line for Australia with Herriott coming in second.

    In the high jump we see GA Miller of England failing at 6' 9". P Hobson of Australia sets a Games record of 6' 11". Shot of Pathe cameraman Ced Baynes standing at his camera, drinking a bottle of orange pop, eating an ice-cream and wiping his brow.

    Start of the Women's 100-yard Final. Dorothy Hyman wins for England. She is presented with the gold medal by Sir Arthur Porritt, Chairman of the Games. C/U of Dorothy kissing the medal.

    Start of the Men's 6 Mile event. We see Mel Batty of England, Bruce Kidd of Canada and Power of Australia. Kidd suddenly puts a spurt on, winning the race at the last minute. He throws his hat in the air and it comes down on the next runner. C/U of Kidd wearing gold medal. Gordon Pirie congratulates Peter Snell of New Zealand on his 880-yard Games Record.

    General view of Beatty Park where the swimming events are being held. Shots of the open, stadium-style pool as the Women's Final, 110-yards backstroke starts. Several shots of the race. We see the Duke of Edinburgh (Prince Philip) watching from the stand. 15-year-old Linda Ludgrove of England wins, with Pam Sergeant of Australia second. Linda is presented with a gold medal as commentator informs us she later won another gold for the 220-yards backstroke with a world record time.

    Several shots of men doing somersaults from the high board in the diving events, including Australian G Deuble, England's Brian Phelps and A Kitcher. Prince Philip applauds. Underwater shot as Phelps surfaces. Commentator says Phelps won two golds. In the 110-yards breaststroke we see Anita Lonsborough winning another gold for England. Anita poses with her gold medal on the winners' rostrum.

    Back at Perry Lakes Stadium we see several shots of the Marathon as it starts to rain. People in the crowd sit huddled under newspapers and umbrellas. The men run one lap of the stadium then make their way out and run along the road. Back at the Stadium we see George Kerr of Jamaican winning the 440-yards Final while Bobby Brightwell falls over in trying to cross the line first.

    In the Women's 220-yards Final we see Dorothy Hyman winning for England - her second gold metal. Back to the Marathon as we see the leading runner, Brian Kilby of Britain, coming back into the Stadium to a great reception from the crowd. He comes in first, winning another gold for Britain. Commentator tells us the total for Britain was 33.
