For any Orchestra, all play (Studio) and no play (outside) "makes Jack a dull boy" - but our camera caught a really unconventional "shot" of Henry Hall and the "Boys" in an off-moment. (Not to mention Lawrence Inns and his Boys)".

    Various shots show bandleaders Henry Hall and Lawrence Inns and their musicians playing cricket in a field and chasing a duck about. Henry Hall poses with the duck. A small group of women and children clap and laugh. After the match, Henry and Lawrence shake hands; Henry says "Here's to the next time" and members of his band start to play the tune of the same name.

    Intertitle reads: "And when the game is over, another kind of play - Studio Variety - for Henry Hall and his B.B.C. Boys."
