  • Short Summary

Repatriated prisoners of war return from Germany to Britain.

  • Description

Home Again - more repatriated prisoners of war arrive from Germany - 1918.

Location of events unknown - east coast of Britain?

World War One. Opens with shot of ship across water. Then a great tracking shot; of long line of loved ones; mostly women of course; standing right along the edge of the bank and waving madly. Sailors help wounded POWs / veterans down steps from ship. CU they help one guy walk down; place his crutches back under his arms. More follow.

GV a bunch of men on deck or dock. A soldier on a stretcher is carried by; and a couple of nurses shake hands with him. ECU one airman (?); in cap; on crutches (see also ON 076 H). A guy in an eye patch stands; surrounded by nurses - no surprise; since he's very handsome; under his patch.

Four airmen. Nurses standing on deck looking down at airmen and waving. Finally; a very cool shot: pan along a row of sailors standing along edge of a bridge or pier - they all take their caps off and wave - great synchronisation.
