The King and Princess are greeted by officials including the Vicar of St Giles, the Reverend John Nicholls. The entourage walks through the streets.

King Hussein makes a speech in the vicarage gardens where the youth club is to be built. he says he is very glad to accept the invitation of laying the foundation stone which will meet the needs of young men and women of this borough. The King's brother Hassan listens.

The foundation stone is dropped into position. The King taps it with a small hammer and steps back.
