Various shots of Dutch Secretary for New Guinea affairs Mr T. Bot being interviewed. Interviewer is asking what will happen to prisoners taken after the Dutch - New Guinea incident. Mr Bot answers that they will be treated in accordance with Geneva Convention, wounded have been taken to hospital and their names are given to international Red Cross.
Interviewer asks about intentions of Dutch Government to negotiate with Indonesia after this affair? Mr Bot talks about the Dutch New Guinea's status in the United Nations and talks abut the future efforts of the Dutch Government to fulfil the will of the people of New Guinea. Interviewer asks him what are the chances for peace at present time? Mr Bot says that force is of no use. The Netherlands will honour any choice the Papuans may make, whether it is autonomy or integration with the eastern part of Island or with Indonesia.
