This footage was shot by cameraman Irving Couse at Cherbourg, France. Some, if not all. of it is filmed on 14 July 1944.

@jamied - I am interested to know where this information has come from? I too can confirm that at least the footage of the "femmes tondues" and the truck procession are from Cherbourg, 14 July 1944 (due to photographic research at the Imperial War Museum, London). However, it would be incredibly helpful if you could give me the source of the information regarding the cameraman, Irving Couse. Many thanks in advance.
