Various shots of people of all ages floating in the hot volcanic waters of the island which can soothe rheumatism. A young Italian man helps an elderly couple, Mr and Mrs Paton, out of the water; as they walk along the beach we see C/Us of bubbling water in little hollows in the sand. He then buries them in the hot sulphur sands, which "is of considerable therapeutic value".
