    How wonderful to find this clip of my grandfather John (Jack) Phoenix on britishpathe.com training in Croke Park, Dublin. He was born Liverpool April 1901 and died in Blackrock, Co Dublin 1954. One of the men in the newsreel with the walking stick and top hat was Tom Butler (originally from Co Kilkenny), his trainer and would later become his father-in-law (and my great grandfather). I do not know who the other 2 men are. I am so pleased to have found this clip and have emailed a link to it to our wider family around the world, including USA, UK, Canada and Japan. (Anne his grand-daughter)
